G Cloud Backup: Cloud Backup and Restore for your Android device

If you happen to lose your mobile handset you will lose all your contacts, messages and other important information. Backing up your phone data often helps overcome these kind if situations where you have no control, there are some apps in the Google Play store to help you backup your phone data. G Cloud Backup is one of the app that allows you to backup and restore your phone data quite easily.

GCloud-Backup
G Cloud Backup is a free application for Android devices that backups your phone data effortlessly. It gives you 1GB of free cloud storage for your data, this may not be enough for the heavy users, but you can always upgrade to a premium plan if you need more storage data. Currently G Cloud Backup is running a promotion where you can get extra 8GB of data storage by inviting your friends, liking on Facebook etc.

G Cloud Backup is not made by Google, it is made by Genie9 Corporation. Using G Cloud Backup is easy, download the app from Google play store and register for an account. If you already have an account you can login with that, but it supports only one device so make sure you are logged from only one device at a time, otherwise the previous device backup will be deactivated.

After logging in you can select what type of data you want to backup, you can backup contacts, call log, messages, Photos, videos, music, documents, system settings, browser data. Once you are done selecting the data type it will backup your phone. On the dashboard you can see how storage you are using, when will the next backup runs etc. It has some default controls before running the backup, like it only backups when connected to Wi-Fi or phone charging is above 25%, you can change these settings yourself according to your needs.

If you have to restore at any time, go to Restore tab and select the data you want to restore, that’s all you will have all your data restored to your device.

Not only during lost of Phone but this is very useful if you are getting a new device, in that case you can get all your phone data to the new device effortlessly. Overall this is one of the useful application to have for your Android device. It works from Android versions 2.2 and up, download G Cloud Backup from Google Play store.
