Gmail’s Mobile web app and Gmail offline got visual refresh with improved search and calendar support

Google is announcing that it updated the Mobile web apps of Gmail with a refreshed design. The new design also graced the Gmail offline for Chrome. Along with the refreshed design the mobile web apps on Android, iOS, Blackberry and Kindle Fire got improved search and Calendar support, If you are wondering what happened to the Windows Phone 8, well Google left out Microsoft’s mobile OS users in the cold for now.

Gmail-Visual-Refresh

Google didn’t mention the complete changes expected in the redesign but it did say that the new design is inspired from the iPhone and iPad app design released last December.

Since launching the rebooted Gmail app for iPhone and iPad in December, we’ve heard from many of you that you like the redesigned UI, along with new features such as improved search and integration with Google Calendar. Today we’re rolling out a similar refreshed look to the Gmail mobile web app as well as Gmail Offline that includes many of these same changes.

If you are using the Gmail Offline for Chrome you can find the new design and features in that also, but wait till the update rolls out widely, as I am not seeing the changes as of now.
