Google+ Button now gives content recommendations

Google is rolling out a new feature to it’s Google+, that will help webmasters to drive extra page views from their content. When users hover on the Google+ buttons, it will recommend other relevant content from the site.

The recommendations will always be from the same domain or sub-domain, so your readers will get related content recommendations and as a site owner you will get more page views.

Google shows an example, Google+ button attached to the Gmail app in Chrome Web Store shows related apps from the store.

The recommendations can be seen if you sign-up for the developer preview group. But for the rest of you, you need to wait for few weeks to get the content recommendations using Google+ buttons. For site owners if you have already added Google+ buttons, you don’t need to anything, Google+ recommendations will work when they are available to everyone.
