HTC One S will no longer get Android updates

HTC One S Android phone won’t be getting any Android goodness in the future and also it won’t get any HTC Sense updates also. HTC One S is on Android 4.1.1 and on Sense 4.0 currently and will remain there for the rest of its life. It was released over a year ago and recently go the Android Jelly Bean update.

It is not clear why this phone won’t be getting any future updates as it is capable one with 1.5Ghz processor and 1GB of RAM it should handle future Android and Sense updates pretty well. HTC usually offers updates to its phone but this time HTC One S owners are not lucky.

“We can confirm that the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense. We realize this news will be met with disappointment by some, but our customers should feel confident that we have designed the HTC One S to be optimized with our amazing camera and audio experiences.”
