Huawei unveils Mate 9 with rear dual-camera, specs, features

Chinese smartphone maker Huawei has launched a new flagship called Mate 9. This Mate 9 is going to be the top of the line smartphone from Huawei with a price tag of $775. Huawei has also launched a luxurious sibling named rather oddly, Porsche Design Mate 9 along with Mate 9. The Mate 9 is powered by the HUAWEI Kirin 960 Octa-core processor, fastest in the Huawei lineup paired with Mali-G71 MP8.

The Mate 9 is a 5.9-inch device with FHD display at 1080 * 1920 pixels resolution and a unibody metal frame. The dsign is similar to the Mate 8 phone. It comes with a 4000mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and rear dual-cameras from Leica. Other specs include fingerprint sensor, USB Type C, Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 version that is Huawei’s own Android skin. The Leica dual-lens camera comes with 12MP RGB sensor and a 20MP monochrome sensor and Hybrid Zoom.

The Porsche design Mate 9 includes bumped up specs like 6 GB of RAM and 256GB storage a 2K display and a curved screen like that of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. It comes with a price tag of $1549 (? 1,03,000).

The availability in the Indian market is not yet clear, we are expecting the Mate 9 soon in the Indian market. The retail price is not yet clear, but its price tag of $775 translates to ?52,000 and so you can guess what its price is going to be in the Indian market.
