Instagram ads will look like this, US users will see one-time sample ad next week

We already know that ads are coming to Instagram, now owned by Facebook. Now it is just a matter of time before we see ads in beloved Instagram. The ads won’t be intrusive and they will blend nicely with rest of the Instagram, they will come as Photos and as videos from brands as of now. If you are wondering how they will appear on your feed, Instagram today posted a concept ad.

Instagram will show a one-time sample ad to users in US, the sample ad will come next week. Below is the ad in question.

Instagram today showed on its blog, how the ads will look like. These ads are essential for Instagram to a sustainable business, it simply can’t wait now. Instagram earlier this month announced that it will be serving ads in your feed but didn’t specify any dates, today also they reiterate that ads will show up on your feed if you are in US, but there is no timeframe given. The ads will comprise photos and videos from brands you are not following.

We want ads to be creative and engaging, so we’re starting with just a handful of brands that are already great members of the Instagram community. If you see an ad that doesn’t interest you, you can tap the “…” below it to hide it and provide feedback about what you didn’t like. This will help us show you more interesting ads in the future.

Example Ad from Levis:

INstagram-Ad

The ads appear as sponsored content, you can identify them with the accompanied icon and sponsored label. If you don’t like an ad you can always hide it and provide feedback to Instagram about your experience. Instagram reassures its users that advertising on Instagram won’t change anything, and users own rights to their photos and videos.
