Intex launches “Aqua Octa” smartphone with 6-inch display, 1.7GHz Octa-core processor for Rs 19999

Intex has unveiled an octa-core smartphone last November and said it will be available from January 2014. Intex has launched this smartphone called Aqua Octa running on an octa-core processor in India today. Intex has priced this smartphone at Rs 19,999.

Intex Aqua Octa comes with a 6-inch capacitive touch screen with OGS display and HD (1280 x 720) resolution at 245ppi pixel density. It is powered by the recently announced MediaTek True Octa Core Processor MT6592 clocked at 1.7GHz along with ARM Mali GPU. It packs a 13MP rear camera with auto focus and LED flash along with a 2MP front facing camera.

Other specifications include 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, 7mm thickness, 2300mAh battery which will give 6 hours of talk time and 180 hours of standby time. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Dual SIM, 3G, Edge, GPRS, micro USB, GPS. It will come pre-loaded with Matrabasha regional language app, Intex Cloud app which gives 5GB of free cloud storage, Intex Play, Intes Game Club, BigFlix, NQ Mobile Security, OLX and Opera mini.

It is a dual SIM handset and runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It will be available in Black and White colors. The Aqua Octa is exclusive to Snapdeal for the moment with a price tag of Rs 19,999, but it will be available across retail stores and online e-retailers starting from January 15th onwards.
