MapMyIndia launches Explore app for Windows Phone, coming soon to Android

MapMyIndia offers GPS navigation and mapping services in India, it has apps on navigation apps for iOS, Android and Windows Phone. MapMyIndia has not introduced a new app on the Windows Phone store called Explore, the app is currently available for Windows Phone only and will soon launch on Android as well.

As the name suggests that Explore app allows users to search for places around the area, like ATMs, restaurants, hospitals etc. It is one of the useful apps if you happen to go to a new place you can hit it and explore the area for interesting places.

“The Locate app and Real-time traffic on MapmyIndia maps have generated an overwhelming user response on both Windows and Android platforms. We will soon make ‘Explore’ available to Android users.” said, Rakesh Verma, Managing Director, MapmyIndia.

The app also has a social side to it, users can rate the places like restaurants, hospitals, coffee shops so that others can use the information. Users will also get activity feed and they can follow other explorers in the area to learn more.
