Micromax will launch another handset in its Canvas range of devices, it is called Canvas Tube A118R. Micromax earlier announced that it is entering Russian market along with Canvas and Beat smartphones. Micromax has already launched Canvas Knight A350, Canvas Social and Beat devices. Micromax will also launch this Canvas Tube, it announced during a press event in Russia.
Micromax Canvas Tube A118R is powered by a 1.2Ghz quad-core processor. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly bean operating system, It packs a 2300mAh battery under the hood. Memory size is not yet clear, but it will have expandable storage support upto 32GB. It comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front camera among other specifications.
The slide from the Micromax presentation reveals some of the above mentioned specs, it also says that Ivi.ru app is pre-loaded, which is a Russian video streaming service, that may be the reason for the name. With 5.5-inch display it is a good device for consuming online video.
Complete specifications, pricing and availability of the device is not yet clear. Micromax will launch this device in Russia soon, but there is no information on Indian launch at this time. We are hoping that Micromax will launch Canvas Tube A118R in India soon, perhaps with a different name. this device in India soon, but we don’t know when it will do that.
