Moto G launch in India is on February 5th

Moto G is one of the most expected phones in India in recent times, thanks to its affordable price tag and decent hardware under the hood. Motorola is supposed to announce the phone this month according to earlier reports and Motorola’s own schedule, but that didn’t happen. Motorola has finally acknowledged the released ate on Twitter, it said they will announce the details on Feb 5th.

Motorola originally announced Moto G last November and soon after the announcement they clarified that it will launch in India and US in the month of January, but US got the phone early and we are still waiting in India to get the phone. Motorola earlier wrapped up its operations in India and this phone makes its re entry in to the country.

Moto G features a 4.5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 Processor along with Adreno 303 GPU. When it launched it was running on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and according to Motorola Indian version should get the Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, as Moto G in other markets received Android 4.4.2.

We don’t know the official pricing of Moto G for India yet, but we are expecting it to carry a price tag of around Rs 15,000 for 8GB model. We will know more about it when on February 5th if Motorola is serious about the launch.
