Moto X price dropped to $399 without contract

Motorola has dropped the price of its current flagship phone Moto X to $399 for 16GB model. Moto X with that price tag without contract is affordable to many. Moto X was criticized for its pricing when compared to what hardware it packs, the latest price drop puts it on par with its specs and the phone is value for money for now.

Motorola has announced the price cut on its blog. The price drop on Moto X is available from all US carriers and also for Moto X customers. Motorola offered the phone during Cyber Monday sale for $349. The 16GB model can be bought for $399 and the 32GB model can be purchased off-contract for $449 now. If you want the unique Bamboo back shell you will have to shell out another $100 just for that.

Moto X specifications include 4.7-inch Super AMOLED 720p screen, Motorola X8 SoC with Adreno 320GPU, 2GB of RAM, 16/ 32GB of internal storage and a 2200mAh battery under the hood. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, GPS, NFC, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac.
