Motorola launches Defy XT and Defy Mini Android Phones in India

Motorola Mobility has launched two new Android smartphones in India, called Defy XT and Defy Mini. These are water resistant, scratch resistant and dust proof devices. Defy XT will go on sale in India starting today with a price tag of Rs. 16190 and Defy Mini will go on sale from June 20th onwards with a retail price of Rs. 11490.

Both these phones are running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and skinned with MotoSwitch 2.0 UI. Both these phones boast 1650mAh batteries for longer life, Defy XT gives 9.5 hours of talk time while Defy Mini gives 9 hours of talk time.

Motorola Defy XT: It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and 512MB RAM and 1GB ROM. It boasts 3.7 inch scratch-resistant screen with Corning Gorilla Glass, 480 x 854 pixel resolution. The phone comes with IP67 certification for water resistant, scratch resistant and dust proof. Other specs include 5 megapixel camera, a VGA camera at the front. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 3G, Wi-Fi, aGPS, DLNA support.

Motorola Defy Mini: It is dual-SIM mobile phone powered by a 600MHz, 512 MB RAM and comes with 3.2 inch scratch resistant screen with Corning Gorilla Glass. It has 3 megapixel camera at the rear and a VGA front facing camera, Micro SD card support upto 32GB, free 2GB card included. It received IP67 certification for water resistant, scratch resistant and dust proof.
