Movable Type finally goes Open Source

movable type Open sourceSix Apart announced few months back that Movable Type is going towards open-source when they released MT 4 Beta. Now the time has come and finally MT is going to open source from today.

If you don’t know what is Movable Type it is a weblog engine like WordPress. Popular blogs like Boing Boing and Read/Write Web are powered by Movable Type. WordPress has become more popular because of the open source and now Movabla Type wants to catch up with wordpress. I didn’t use MT much like wordpress so i am not going to compare both scripts, but both of them are great publishing platforms.
