Nokia HERE Maps out now for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Nokia has released the iOS app for HERE maps as promised, last week we reported that Nokia is launching HERE on iOS, Android and Firefox OS. Apple iOS Maps app is a big let down, particularly if you are not in US you can forget about the iOS Maps. While we wait for the Google Maps for iOS Nokia HERE maps hit the appstore today, available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

On the first look it appears that HERE Maps are a lot better than the Apple Maps, particularly India city maps are a way better. It offers standard Map view, satellite view, public transport view and live traffic view wherever available. The app includes voice-guided turn-by-turn walking directions, driving directions and public transport where available. You can also select community maps in selected areas.

It also allows you to save map areas for offline usage, social sharing and a way to organize places in collections to access anywhere. HERE maps are available for over 200 countries worldwide. Nokia already said that Android API will be released next year and it will also be available on the Firefox OS.
