Samsung 11.8-inch tablet with “retina” display revealed in court documents

Several Samsung and Apple prototypes and product roadmaps are being leaked to the public domain through court documents in the on going patent trail between the two companies. The latest leak indicates Samsung is prepping to release a over-sized tablet at 1..8-inch display some time soon with “retina” display.

According to The Verge, the court documents show that Samsung might be working on a 11.8inch tablet with high-resolution display with LTE connectivity. Codenamed “P10” the tablet sports a high resolution display at 2560×1600 resolution with a pixel density of 256 ppi.

The new iPad has 9.5-inch with 2048×1536 resolution at a pixel density of 164 ppi, and the leaked Samsung’s leaked P10 has 256 ppi that is close to the iPad Retina display. Samsung might want to put this kind of high-resolution display on it’s Galaxy line of devices.

The documents also revealed that Samsung is working on to introduce Windows Phone 8 devices in the Q4 of 2012.
