Samsung Galaxy Note 3 receiving Android 4.4.2 update in India

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is getting Android 4.4.2 update, it is currently rolling out in India. The Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for Galaxy Note 3 started few days back, Russian users received the update earlier for the Exynos variant, the same variant is available in India. The update is available as both over-the-air (OTA) and also through Kies.

According to this XDA thread the update is 361MB, you can check whether you have the update available by going to Settings –> More  –> About Device  –> Software Update.

Please remember there were reports from Samsung users that after upgrading to the Android 4.4 KitKat third-party accessories for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are not working properly. Several users are complaining about this issue and Samsung has clarified that there is no relation between Android 4.4 Update and third-party accessories. But it didn’t say what might be the issue, perhaps some bug we don’t know. But be warned that some accessories might not work for the time being until Samsung or third-part accessory vendors address the issue.

The update will latest Android to the Galaxy Note 3 and will bring the latest features of Android KitKat.
