Samsung Launches Galaxy S III in India, Priced at Rs 43180

Samsung has finally launched its latest Android smartphone Galaxy S III in India today at an event in Delhi. Galaxy S III is priced at whooping Rs 43180 (~ $770), it’s competitor HTC One X is priced at Rs 37899, and Apple iPhone is priced at Rs 44500. The pricing is a premium than HTC One X as both phones offer similar functionality and similar in specifications.

Samsung unveiled Galaxy S III earlier this month at an event London, the phone is launched first in Europe on 29th of this month.

Galaxy S III packs impressive specs including a quad-core 1.4GHz Exynos processor, 4.8 inch Super MOLED HD display and a 8 megapixel camera. This phone comes with Android Ice Cream Sandwich and TouchWiz UI 4.0. It also comes with some new features like Smart Stay, Direct Call and Popup video to name a few.

Samsung is partnered with Dropbox to give 50GB of cloud storage for Galaxy S III users for two years. Samsung launched Music Hub service for Samsung smartphones, the service will debut for Galaxy S III customers.

Samsung already accepting pre-orders for Galaxy S III from quite some time, though pricing is not announced at that time.

Flipkart is selling this phone at Rs. 38900, which is Rs 4280 less than the official price, so far this is the best deal for getting Samsung Galaxy S III in India.
