Samsung has launched Galaxy Tab 3 7-inch and 8-inch tablets in India officially today. The 7-inch tablet Tab 3 211 is a Wi-Fi and 3G tablet and the 8-inch tablet is available in two forms, 310 is a Wi-Fi only tablet, 311 supports 3G and Wi-Fi. The Tab 3 211 is priced at Rs. 17,745, 310 Tab 3 (Wi-Fi only) is priced at Rs. 21,945 and 311 is priced at Rs. 25,725.
These are not high-end tablets but mid-range ones with not so hot specifications. The 7-inch Tab 3 is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. This tablet supports both Wi-Fi and 2G, and 3G. It runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system. It features a 3MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front camera for video calling. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD display at 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. On the memory front it comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.
The 8-inch Tab 3 is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor. It features a 8-inch TFT LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and comes in Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi and 3G version. It has 1.5GB RAM and 16GB memory with micro SD card slot upto 64GB.
