Samsung to unveil Galaxy & Ativ devices on June 20th “Premiere” event

Samsung is hosting an event dubbed “Samsung Premiere 2013” to unveil new Galaxy & Ativ mobile devices. The vent will be held at Earls Court 2, London and will be livestreamed on its YouTube channel. The event will see the launch of new Android devices in the line of Galaxy devices and also Ativ line of Windows devices. ATIV is the name for mobile phones running Windows Phone 8, and laptops, tablets running Windows 8 and Windows RT.

Samsung Premiere Event 2013

Samsung posted a teaser image on its website for the event but not many details are available. Samsung might announce the rumored Galaxy S4 Mini, and a rugged version of the Galaxy S4 called S4 Active at the event. Samsung is hugely successful with its Galaxy brand of Android devices but its Ativ Windows devices are not so popular, keeping this in mind Samsung might announce some new Ativ devices to compete with the Nokia Lumia devices. Nokia is the only company that is successful with the Windows Phone 8 operating system so far.
