Scribd Offers Free Document Scanning and Upload to Web

Document sharing service Scribd that launched a new web document format iPaper in February is now offering free document scanning for users. What it means for you, you send your documents which you want to put online to Scribd by mail, they will scan it and make them available via web. That means free scanning and web space for your documents online, which you can share with your friends easily.

To avail this feature you need to send your documents to Scribd, follow the below given details.

To participate, just send a brief description of the type and quantity of your documents to paper@scribd.com. A Scribd representative will reply shortly with further instructions for how and where to mail the documents. Scribd will have the content scanned and published on Scribd.com to be easily shared with anyone. Include your Scribd username along with your paper so that your content will be published in your account. If you are not a Scribd user, include your email address, and Scribd will email you a link to your published content.

This service is completely free, also you should note that the documents are shredded after the scanning. Don’t send any personal documents because they will be online once it scanned. Source: Webware
