Apple, Samsung, and BlackBerry all offered cash back offers for their latest smartphones, Apple and Samsung found success with the offer, we are not sure about the BlackBerry though for its buyback scheme on Z10. Now it is the turn of Sony to offer a cash back on Xperia Z or Xperia ZL in exchange for your smartphone.
Sony has introduces “Big Xperia Xchange” offer, under which you will get a minimum discount of Rs. 5,000 for your old smartphone when you exchange it for brand new Xperia Z or ZL. It is not clear what smartphones can be used to avail this offer, no communication from Sony so far on this. Users will also be able to avail EMI offer for both Xperia Z and ZL. The EMI offer is available from select back credit cards with 12 months or 6 months duration with out processing free and at zero interest fee.
Sony is also offering a free case with Xperia Z worth Rs. 1,990 and a snap-on-cover worth Rs. 1,49o with Xperia ZL.
Both these smartphones launched in India earlier this year. These are 5-inch smartphones with full HD display at 1920 x 1080 pixels resloution. These are powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.
Sony is expected to announce Xperia Z Ultra smartphone in the country, and this buyback offer may be in preparation for that, to clear the inventory of Xperia Z and ZL. Sony didn’t said officially when it is launching this smartphone in India but according to an online store listing it will be available from July 31st.
