Sony Xperia S Will Launch on April 10 in India

Sony Xperia S, the much awaited smartphone from Sony is launching on April 10th in India. Sony announced on its official Facebook page. This is the first self branded smartphone for Sony, the phone was announced back in CES earlier this year.

The Xperia S is powered by a 1.5 GHz Qualcomm dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 gingerbread. It will get Ice Cream Sandwich treatment sometime in the second quarter. It has 4.3 inch TFT screen with 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and a minsterous rear camera of 12.1 megapixel with auto focus and LED flash. Other specs of the phone include 1GB of RAm, 32 GB of internal memory and 1.3 megapixel front facing camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and NFC.

Sony is advertising that the first orders will get accessories worth Rs. 4000 free with the phone, the list of accessories include Car charger, leather case, HDMI cable, and 2 NFC tags.

Price is not revealed for the Xperia S officially, but Letsbuy.com lists it with a price tag of Rs. 32549.
