Sony Xperia Z launched, Quad-Core, 5-inch Android Phone

Sony has announced Xperia Z, a high end Android smartphone at CES 2013. It is the flagship phone for Sony this year, it has some impressive specs under the hood.

The important specifications of the Xperia Z include 1.5GHz quad-core snapdragon processor, a 5-inch full HD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It has a 13 megapixel Exmor RS camera sensor, it beats all the high end phones available today like Samsung Galaxy S III, iPhone 5, HTC One etc. It also comes with a 2.2 MP front facing camera.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, NFC, GPS, microUSB. It has an internal memory of 16GB, expandable upto 32GB using an external microSD card. Xperia Z runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and not on the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It comes with 2330mAh battery.

One unique feature of this Sony Xperia phone is it is water and dust resistant. According to Sony this phone is leak-proof in one meter of water till half an hour.
