Sony Xperia Z1s appears on Sony website briefly

Sony Xperia Z1s made an appearance on Sony’s website before it was promptly pulled. It is supposed to be the mini version of Sony’s flagship phone Xperia Z1. Sony has announced Xperia Z1 f (SO-01F) in Japan for NTT DoCoMo, it is the mini version of the Xperia Z1 in Japan, but at that time it is not clear whether an international version of the phone will launch or not.

The appearance of Xperia Z1s gives hope that the Xperia Z1 mini is coming to the international markets soon. The Xperia listing link didn’t lead anywhere so specs and other details are not yet clear. But if you look at the Z1 f it will comes in a smaller form-factor at 4.3-inch screen with 720 pixels resolution. It comes with a 2300mAh battery under the hood for providing juice. Other specifications are same as the Z1, it is powered by the 2.3Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor, 20.7MP camera, 2.2MP front camera etc.

It has dimensions of 65mm x 127mm x 9.7mm and weighs about 140g. For now it is just a rumor and we will see if anything comes from Sony. The Z1 f for Japan is expected to launch at the end of the year and this Z1s also might launch with that phone.
