Xiaomi had a great success in the Indian smartphone market with it smartphones that offered more for less money. Xiaomi’s earlier launches Mi3 and Redmi 1s were huge successes and Xiaomi is once again looking something similar with the latest Redmi Note. There is no official date available for the launch of the Redmi Note In India, earlier Hugo Barra indicated that they will launch soon probably in January, But new reports suggest that Redmi Note might launch as early as December 2nd.
Mi India has started promoting the Redmi Note on its Facebook page, currently there is a contest going on Facebook, this is seen as a run-up for the launch of Redmi Note. When Xiaomi launched the Redmi 1S it discontinued the Mi3 in the Indian market. This time it may happen the same, it may discontinue the Redmi 1S and launch the Redmi Note.
Redmi Note is a 5.5-inch device running on MediaTek MT6592 1.4GHz Octa-Core processor along with 2GB of RAM. It comes with a 5.5-inch IPS display with HD resolution. It boasts a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera. There is a 3200mAh battery under the hood to power up the device. The Redmi Note is supposed to be available with a price tag of Rs 9999. It will be available exclusively through Flipkart like other Xiaomi devices.
