Yahoo improves Yahoo Go! for Mobile with global expansion

yahoo go for mobileYahoo announced on tuesday its improved version of Yahoo Go for Mobile, the new veriosn will be introduced on Friday. Yahoo Go for Mobile 2.0 will launch in fully customized versions on Friday in other countries including Canada, France, Germany, India, Indonesian Italy, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Spain, United Kingdom, Thailand and Vietnam.

Yahoo! Go is now optimized for the “small screen� of a mobile phone, making it easy to access the Internet. With the Yahoo Go widgets users can personalize the features like email, local info, maps, news and search.

The enhanced version enables users to download Yhaoo mail to mobile and organoze into folders and read more attachments types. Yahoo say with new One Search users get only relevant results grouped by subject matter and relevance.


“Yahoo has signed partnership agreements with six major mobile operators in Asia for distribution of Yahoo’s OneSearch mobile search service. The operators are Globe Telecom in the Philippines, Idea Cellular in India, LG Telecom in Korea, Maxis Communications Berhad in Malaysia, PT Telekomunikasi Selular “Telkomsel” in Indonesia and Taiwan Mobile”, cNet News Reported.
