Nokia Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 launched in India

Nokia today launched both Lumia 720 and Lumia 520 in India, both these handsets were unveiled at MWC 2013. Lumia 720 will fit in between Lumia 820 and recently released Lumia 620. It is a mid range device running Windows Phone 8 and Lumia 520 is a entry level device for Nokia running WP8 as well. Now with these two devices Nokia has a whole range of devices in the market from Rs. 10500 to Rs. 37000, the range include Lumia 920, Lumia 820, Lumia 720, Lumia 620 and Lumia 520.

Lumia 720 features a premium design with impressive specs, it is targeted towards the youth with a trendy design. It comes with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack LCD display like the Lumia 920 with WVGA 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon S4 processor coupled with Adreno 305 GPU. Lumia 720 shines in the camera department, it comes with 6.7MP camera with autofocus and, LED Flash and Carl Zeiss optics. It has f/1.9 aperture, the large aperture helps in getting more light into the camera for taking better pictures under various conditions. It also comes with 1.3MP wide-angle front camera which is good for self portraits and Skype video calling.

It comes with support for NFC and you can add a snap on cover to get the wireless charging support. It has an 8GB of internal storage and support for microSD card slot to expand the memory upto 64GB. It has a 2000mAh Battery to power up the device.

Nokia Lumia 520

This is an entry level device, Nokia has priced this device at Rs. 10500, with it’s launch Nokia has the entry level smartphone for the first time smartphone users. It is powered by the same 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor as the Lumia 720 and 620 coupled with the Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 4-inch IPS LCD screen with WVGA 480 x 800 pixels resolution. Other specifications include 8GB of internal storage with micro SD support to expand the memory to 64GB, 512MB RAM, a 5MP rear camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, GPS. It comes with a 1430mAh battery to power up the device.

Lumia 720 will be available from mid April in India and the Lumia 520 is available from 1st of week of April. Pricing of the Lumia 720 is not yet revealed but expected to carry a price tag of INR 20,000. Lumia 520 is priced at Rs. 10500 and is already up for pre-order at Flipkart. Both these phones will be available in Red, White, Black, Yellow and Cyan colors.
