Google Drive or GDrive is long-awaited or speculated Google service that never launched, Google Operating System got some clues to believe that Gdrive is actually may launch some time soon.
The little icon embedded here looks like a hard drive icon, and this icon reference is found in a Google Apps CSS class with the name “webdrive”. Not only the small icon but according to GOS Picasa for Mac carried a menu item titled “Google Web drive”.
Blogoscoped blog published an article few days back that hinted about the integration of the gdrive with Google Docs service, where users can view various documents. Also integration with Picasaweb which allows to drop the photos in gdrive folder to be accessible via web.
If GDrive is launching really then its interesting to see how the service works. I guess there will be a basic version for free and pro versions for small fee, any way it is useful to keep all your stuff in one Google account, but again what will happen all this stuff if one day Google choose to close your account?.
