Accelerate downloads on Android devices with AndroGET

If you are an Android user and frustrated with difficulties in downloading files from mobile browsers or email attachments to your phone, this app AndroGET is going to make your life easier. AndroGET is an android application and works as download acclerator for android. It supports all the features of a typical internet download accelerator.

It supports large files up to 2GB and downloading files from web pages as well as emails through link share, long hold the link and select share link, select AndroGET from the list. Supports resume, pause, restart, queuing, proxy support, and basic HTTP authentication etc.

You can get the AndroGET app from android market, once installed you can use the app for downloading files. By default the downloads folder is set to /sdcard/ folder, you can change this from the simple settings screen, if you want to set the network configuration for the app you can do so from the advanced settings screen. It can also notify about the download status, you can turn this off from settings page.

The app has been tested on Android stock browser UC browser, Dolphin HD & Mini, Opera Mobile & Mini, Firefox, Boat Browser and seemed to work on all these browsers.

In the next release the developer promises to add FTP support, credentials management for FTP & basic HTTP authentication, Batch download, download scheduling and queuing automation and better support for file sharing sites.
