Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update rolling now for Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra

Sony announced today that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra started rolling out today. Sony is expected to roll out Android 4.3 update for Xperia devices this month, the update started with the Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z Ultra. Last week an Android 4.3 build for Xperia Z and Xperia ZL leaked online.

The update includes several improvements and fixes, more importantly the update bring UI changes for several Sony applications. Sony is updating all Sony’s native apps to latest versions with the update, the list includes: Messaging, My Xperia, Smart Connect, Small apps, TrackID, Sony Select and more.

Sony’s is releasing the Smart Social Camera app that debuted with the Sony Xperia Z1 to Xperia Z Ultra. The social camera app will let users download, access camera apps directly from the viewfinder. Sony’s Media apps including WALKMAN, Album and Movies got UI enhancements offering seamless access to both local and cloud content.

The Android 4.3 update roll out started with these devices and other Xperia devices will also receive the update very soon. The update roll out will depend on the carrier and region, so stay tuned for the updates to reach your devices.
