Backup Facebook Photos, Profile Info with SocialSafe

SocialSafe is an Adobe AIR application that allows users to backup their Facebook photos, profile information, friends and the photos they are tagged in. Facebook backup is not required for everyone, but if you upload lot of pictures or have a large friends and worried about losing your data if something happens like Facebook deleting account or something, this is a good solution to keep backup of your data. SocialSafe is not free but not expensive either, it costs $2.99 to use the app, future releases to the same version are free (from 1.1 to 1.2), but a version upgrade (from 1 to 2) will cost you money.

SocialSafe sends you a license key after buying the license, install the application and connect to Facebook using Facebook Connect. Once you are connected it will backup all your photos, friends data to your computer. First time data backup may take some time later on it will be fast.

SocialSafe is a good way to keep backup of the Facebook data. Currently it won’t backup your activity stream, that may be a deal breaker for many, but future versions may include this feature.
