Browser’s address bar or Search bar which one you prefer?

Marshall had a nice post on Readwriteweb where he discusses about people entering URL’s in the search bar rather than in the address bar of the browser.

Google’s search share is growing like a weed, Latest Hitwise search market share data for June shows that users are entering URL’s and domain names with out extensions in the search bar.

Hitwise Search Market

Not only mainstream users but users like me do this, it is not because i don’t know the difference between address bar and search bar but because i trust Google search. Let me explain you what i mean, when i am at work place i never enter a domain name in the address bar unless i am sure of the site URL, instead i will enter in the search bar so that google will correct me if i made a mistake. This is to be sure that i won’t land up in a parked domain with NSFW image on that. Web is becoming unsafe day by day, you will never know where you will end up if you hit the address bar, instead if you enter in search bar you are sure that Google will help you.

What about you, do you use search bar more often if so why? tell us in the comments.
