Dell India has launched Venue 7 and Venue 8 Android tablets in India. These two tablets were launched in October 2013 in the US. Dell has priced these Android tablets reasonably at Rs 10999 for Venue 7 and Rs 17499 for Venue 8, these tablets are available from the Dell India website or through Dell retailers.
The two tablets feature 7-inch and 8-inch display as their name suggests. Both have IPS display at 1280 x 800 pixels. Both these tablets have similar specifications except few differences. They run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and update to Android 4.4 KitKat will roll out in future.
Dell Venue 7 and Venue 8 are powered by Dual-core Intel Atom Processors, Venue 7 gets the 1.6GHz one and the Venue 8 gets the 2.0GHz processor. Both tablets have rear and front cameras, the Venue 7 has 3MP rear and VGA front camera, the Venue 8 comes with a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.
These tablet pack a 4100mAh battery inside to provide juice. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, micro USB etc. Dell has also launched accessories for the tablets including a Stylus, a Tablet Folio case and a spare USB charger.
