Google has released the stock Android Keyboard app as a standalone application, it can now be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Google Nexus devices come with this keyboard, with the app launch on Play you can download this for any Android device to have Nexus like experience. This is not just another keyboard it offers some unique features than what you find in other manufacturers customized Android installations.
Google Nexus devices run on stock Android and other manufacturers like Samsung and HTC modify the Android to suite their needs, part of that approach is layering with custom launcher for example Samsung’s TouchWiz Launcher. But recently they started offering stock Android running device variants for their flagship phones including Galaxy S4 and HTC One.
Google Keyboard for Android comes with all the features you will find on a Nexus device. The list of features include Gesture Typing, where you will swype your fingers across letters of a word and lift your finger to finish the word. It will auto suggest words and guesses words you are going to type next. You can also type using voice commands. It also include 26 language dictionaries to start.
