Microsoft has officially announced the Windows 8.1, the next update for the Windows 8 operating system. The download link is live and now you can get the update for yourself to see what Microsoft has cooked into this one.
The download is available through Windows Store, here is how to get it.
Go to this Preview site and click “Get it now”, you will be asked to download a small update. The update is to enable Windows Store to support Windows 8.1 download.
- Install the update, then reboot your PC
- At the time of logging back to your PC you are prompted with a message to install the Windows 8.1 Preview, click “Go to the Store”
- You will be taken to Windows store page for Windows 8.1 preview, click “Download” to install the Windows 8.1 Preview.
- At the time of install it will do some background checks to see the compatibility, if it finds any issues it wont install the preview.
