Foursquare app update brings Friend check-ins to Android and iOS

Foursquare app got an update on both iOS and Android, the latest update brings a new feature that allows users to check-in their friends also. The feature is a simple one but it would surely affect the check-ins Foursquare gets. For example only few people from a group check-in usually but with the new feature it is possible that whole group of people will check-in using Foursquare app.

You will be able to check-in your friends with you but they have to approve your request to check-in. That means you have to take permission from them to check-in, if they reject the request they won’t appear in that list.

To check-in friends tap “I’m with…” button and your friends name. They will receive a notification to accept the request or to reject it. If they accept then you can add them in future without asking permission, if they reject it would appear as normal. If you are checked-in through your friends you can always delete your check-ins if you want it private.
