Apple has asked its Asian supplier Foxconn to ship two iPhones in this September according to a report on WSJ. Citing its sources WSJ says the two new iPhones, one regular high-end iPhone and the other low-end version will be shipped in mid to late September. Apple is expected to announce a new iPhone next month, an announcement is planned on Sep 10th for the unveiling, but it is not clear whether Apple will release two iPhones along side or only one iPhone first.
Apple has always announced one iPhone at a time, but this time that might change as Apple is preparing to launch a low cost phone targeting the developing markets like China and India. The high end iPhone is the rumored 5S and the low end phone is the rumored 5C.
In the past few weeks we have seen several leaks of the iPhone 5C. It is expected to come with a plastic casing unlike the traditional metal casing, the 5S will come with metal casing though. This time Apple is expected to release iPhones in multiple colors unlike past.
The iPhone 5S is expected to carry better internal components compared to the 5 and it also sports a biometric fingerprint scanner for security. It is expected to have the same screen size and resolution as that of iPhone 5.
