LG announces Chromebase an All-In-One computer with ChromeOS

Chromebooks powered by Chrome OS are not yet mainstream and they are a niche still. We have seen ChromeOS laptops and an occasional desktop, but LG is now announcing an All-in-one PC with Chrome OS installed. LG Calls it Chromebase and it will be introduced at the CES 2014 in January.

Chromebase is all-in-one pc with 21.5 inch Full HD IPS display, powered by a Intel Celeron Processor. It comes with a 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage (SSD drive). It comes with full accessories a keyboard, mouse etc., b ut can also work independently.
LG Announces Chrome OS powered all-in-one PC Chromebase

“LG’s Chromebase is an exciting new form factor that expands the options available to customers who want a fast, simple and secure computing experience for the home, school or office,” said Caesar Sengupta, vice president of product management, Google. “LG Electronics makes great devices that customers love, and we’re glad to welcome them to the Chrome family.”

LG says in its press release the target audience for the LG Chromebase is not only individuals but schools, hotels, call centers and other business settings. With these kind of specs and Chrome OS it is best suited for business uses like in hotels and call centers. It will be available at CES 2014 in January.
