Yahoo is finally brought back the tabs feature that it removed few months back after taking users feedback everywhere. In October this year Yahoo took back the tabs feature when it launched the redesigned Yahoo Mail, and it although it was possible to temporarily to enable tabs feature there is no permanent solution.
Many users are upset with the Yahoo Mail redesign and most of them missed the Tabs feature in Yahoo Mail. Yahoo has listened to the feedback and brought back the Tabs feature. The Tabs feature is not enabled by default though. Here is how to enable yahoo mail tabs feature, go to View from the right corner above the inbox, and select the tabs option in multi tasking. You can switch from “Recent View” or “Tabs” feature from here.
When we launched the new version of Mail in October, we removed Tabs. One of the things you told us that annoyed you about tabs is that the more you had open, the harder they were to manage, and you wanted multitasking to be easy. With your feedback, we launched Recent view to help you jump between emails, drafts and search results more easily, but many of you still missed tabs. So we’re bringing back tabs, but this time, they’re a bit smarter.
If you are using the preview pane, now double clicking an email will open in a new tab. Yahoo has also made it easy to use tabs when you have a lot of emails open in tabs. You can click an arrow on the last tab page and select preview all to preview all tabs, this helps you if you have several tabs open. There is also a shortcut, hitting the “esc” key will clear off your screen, click the little square icon the bottom left to preview all tabs. Yahoo calls it “boss mode”.
