Vodafone India launches Music streaming service

Vodafone India launched a Music streaming service in India, it is a subscription based music streaming service powered by Hungama. The music service lets users stream music and download them to their handsets for a fee. The service is available only to Vodafone subscribers. Vodafone has also launched an Android app for their music streaming service.

It can be accessed on Vodafone network using vodafonemusic.in or by downloading the Android app if you have an android device. Vodafone Music offers subscription packs for daily, weekly or monthly charges, users can also buy in small packages. It will charge Rs 3 for a song to download, Rs 10 for five songs. An unlimited monthly package at Rs 99 offers unlimited downloads of songs. Other unlimited packs include Rs 5 for a day and Rs 29 for a week.

Users can download and stream songs at their wish with the subscription plans but remember data charges still apply. Vodafone Music will compete with more established players like Savvn, Dhingana and Gaana among others.

The Android app has in-built social features for sharing your favorites across social networks. The app offers features like widgets, cloud sync, playlist sharing etc.
