Nokia Lumia 525 announced in India, launch in January 2014

Nokia today announced the Lumia 525 in India. Lumia 525 is the successor to the Lumia 520 device, which is highest selling Lumia and quite a popular in developing markets especially. Nokia originally announced the Lumia 525 device in the last week of November. It is priced elsewhere around $199 and the Lumia 525 price in India is not yet revealed.

Nokia Lumia 525 builds on the earlier Lumia 520, the main difference here is the RAM, the Lumia 525 gets 1GB RAM. This is an useful upgrade as popular games on Windows Phone platform require atleast 1GB of RAM. Nokia Lumia 525 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of inbuilt storage.

It will be available in India from January 2014 onwards. The pricing is not announced but the phone recently went for sale in Singapore for SG$249 (Rs 12,000), expect similar pricing in India inline with the earlier Lumia 520. Nokia recently launched Lumia 1520 phablet in India at Rs 46999
