Google and Microsoft released translation widgets to translate your blog oe website into another language. According to wikipedia only 35.2% of the internet users are English, so it makes sense to add translation widgets for your blog to increase the reach for your blog.
Microsoft Translator widget supports 11 languages as of now if your primary language is English. The widget is served through Javascript and shows a drop down list.
Google Translator widget supports 13 languages as of now if your primary language is English. This widget also served through Javascript and carries a link Google Translator and Google Gadgets.
Both the gadgets doesn’t offer any customization yet, but Microsoft gadget doesn’t include any branding, go this way if you care about it. [Via]
