Secure Gmail with https
Gmail wants to help its users to secure their Gmail accounts from phishing eyes using https. Https keeps your email encrypted while it travels between your browser and gmail servers.
If you use public wi-fi you may want to use this option to secure your gmail account as it encrypts the data. Gmail sign on always goes through https, with the new option you can always use https encryption while using gmail.

To enable this option go to settings and choose “always use https” option. Gmail recently added an option to track the gmail activity and remote sign off if you are logged in on other computers.
