Secure Gmail with https

Gmail Sign In

Google wants wants to help Gmail users from phishing attacks by allowing them to use always secure connection when they signin to gmail. Use Gmail signin at https://mail.google.com instead of http://mail.google.com for gmail login. Https keeps your email encrypted while it trav6els between your browser and gmail servers.

If you use public wi-fi you may want to use this option to secure your gmail account as it encrypts the data using secure connection. Gmail signin always goes through https, but after signing in it reverts to the http connection, with the new option not only gmail signin but you entire gmail usage goes through secure connection.

secure Gmail

To enable this option go to settings and choose “always use https” option. Gmail recently added an option to track the gmail activity and remote sign off if you are signed in to Gmail from other computers.
