HTC announces One X+, 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3, 64GB storage

HTC has announced a refreshed version of it’s flagship Android device One X, the upgraded version is called HTC One X+. HTC One X was first announced at MWC this year. HTC One X received rave reviews from the pundits but its sales are not that great compared to Samsung Galaxy S III or iPhones.

To take advantage of the holiday season HTC has upgraded its flagship device. The One X+ is now powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra3 Processor from NVIDIA. It now comes with 64GB of storage on board and a larger battery than the previous version, 2100mAh battery. Visually there are no changes as such except the internal changes. Along with the new version HTC has updated the HTC Sense UI and this phone will carry the newest named HTC Sense 4+.

HTC One X+ introduces a new Tap and Go function, which allows users to connect phone and music to Beats speakers by tapping them, and a quick tap will disconnect them. Another feature that is introduced with this phone is HTC Get Started, which allows users to setup their phone through web browser from a PC. HTC says the feature is designed to enhance the experience of users while setting the phone for the first time.

One X+ will come preloaded with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, One X and One S smartphones will get the Jelly Bean update in October. HTC One X+ will be available from October in Europe and North Asia and from November in South Asia. HTC will make separate announcement for the US version of the One X+, the US version will have LTE capability according to HTC.
