Adobe Launches Acrobat 9 and Acrobat.com

Acrobat.com

Adobe released Acrobat 9 today and launched Acrobat.com, home for the online office applications. Buzzword, the online word processor is also shifted to acrobat.com, earlier it is available at getbuzzword.com when i covered it last time. Other apps you will find at Acrobat.com include Adobe connect now, create pdf, share and My files.

Connectnow is a web conferencing tool with features like screen sharing, audi, video, chat, notes etc. Up to three participants can use connectnow for web meetings.

Create PDF, as the name suggests it allows you to create PDF files online, but it only allows 5 files. I just really don’t get why there is a limit of 5 files, for me it useless unless it gives me unlimited or atleast more number of file conversions.

Share is for sharing files with colleagues or friends, but there is a limitation, you can’t share Music and Video files at the moment. You will get 5GB of storage that is quite a lot.

My Files is where your shared files are located, you can share MS office documents, PDF files, Images and swf files.
