Nokia buyback scheme is extended, this time for the Lumia 1020 smartphone with 41 megapixel camera. Nokia announced the deal on Twitter, as per the offer, users can exchange their old smartphone for a brand new Lumia 1020 and get upto Rs. 13,500 as a discount. Apple also introduced a similar deal on iPhone 5C which gives Rs. 13000 for your old smartphone.
Nokia has done this before, it has introduced buyback scheme on Lumia 620 and 520 and then later it was extended to Lumia 625 and Lumia 925. Now Lumia 1020 also included in the Smart Upgrade offer from Nokia which allows you to exchange your old smartphone for a new Lumia device.

How it works: Users are always confused about these offers, because companies offer discounts on MRP of the phone which doesn’t reflect the current market price, so most of the time these offers are not worth the trouble.
Lumia 1020 launched at Rs. 49,999, under the current exchange offer users will get Rs. 13,500 and the effective price will be Rs. 36,499 after exchanging your old smartphone.
Now if you look at the current market price of Lumia 1020 on Flipkart is Rs. 46,999. That means if you exchange you will get Rs. 10,500 only for your smartphone. If you go to Amazon.in you can even buy the phone for for as low as Rs. 41,200.
