Instagram is the popular app for sharing photographs among iPhone and Android users, but it is absent from the Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform, whatever may be the reason Instagram decided not to build an app for the Windows Phone platform. WP users are waiting for an Instagram client on their phone, but till now there is no news that Instagram is considering WP platform. Now an unofficial app came to the rescue, this is not the ideal solution or perfect replacement for the Instagram app on WP8 but it works.
Instagraph is a Instagram uploader that allows existing Instagram users to upload their photos to Instagram. The biggest drawback of the app is you can’t create an Instagram account, the only way to create an account is using an Android or iOS device and then use Instagraph from WP8 device. The app uses aviary photo editor for the photo filters that means they are not Instagram filters, but let me tell you aviary photo filters are very good.
You can upload pictures from your album or take a picture using the camera. Instagraph is a paid app and there is no free trail version, it retails at $2.49.
To cope with the server issues currently users can upload only 3 pics daily and this upload limit will be removed as developers add more servers. The pictures you select to upload will be queued and uploaded depending on the server load.
