Sony has added another smartphone to its growing list of Android phones under Xperia brand. It is a mid range Android device named Xperia M, according to Sony device will also be available in dual-SIM mode named Xperia M-dual. Xperia M will be made available in Q3 2013.
Xperia M design is similar to the Xperia Z and offers the illumination strip on the bottom of the screen that can be customized by users. Both Xperia M & Xperia M-dual are powered by 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory. Both these phones support NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, aGPS etc. Pricing of these phones is not yet known.
“Consumers looking for their first steps into the world of Xperia smartphones, would be well-advised to look at Xperia M or Xperia M dual,” said Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications. “Both models benefit from Sony’s proven innovation and engineering expertise, and are perfect for those who want the premium technology and experiences often only associated with high-end models.”
Xperia M & the dual SIM version will be available from Q3 2013 onwards, they will be available in White, Black and Purple colors, while the Xperia M single SIM version will also be available in a Lime yellow color.
The Dual SIM variant Xperia M dual lets users select between two SIMs before making a call or sending a message with just a single click. Each SIM card can also be customised separately – for example, a formal ring for business or another tune for pleasure – perfect when users want to separate work from play, and handle calls more efficiently.
