Sony officially launched Xperia tipo and Xperia tipo dual android smartphone in India. These phone were announced in June this year. Xperia tipo is a single SIM while tipo dual is a dual-SIM phone as the name suggests.
The specifications of both these phones are similar except the tipo dual is a dual-SIM Android smartphone. These phones sport 3.2 inch TFT touch screen with 480 x 320 pixel resolution. These are powered by a 800MHz Qualcomm Scorpion processor with Adreno 200GPU. These phones come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box. Other specifications include 512MB RAM, 2.5GB internal memory expandable up to 32 GB, 3.2 megapixel rear camera, FM Radio with RDS. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS and DLNA compatible.
Sony Xperia tipo is priced at Rs. 9999 and the Sony Xperia tipo dual is priced at Rs. 10499. Xperia tipo dual supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM). Xperia tipo is available in Black, White, Red and Blue colors while Xperia tipo dual is available only ion Black color. Both these phones are already available from many online retailers. Vodafone is offering 500MB of free 3G data per month for 3 months, this offer is valid till 31st December 2012.
