Blogonize is a new service for hosting blogs. It has a web 2.0ish interface with attractive colors.

It is pretty easy to create an account and updating blogs with blogonize. Once you are registered you can start writing your blog entries. It offers a WYSIWYG editor for writing the posts. Blogs are created as subdomains of the blogonize, just like blogspot blogs.

One can customize the blog look & feel from the dashboard. You can set how many posts to appear on your blog front page, adjust options for Private messaging and time zone. One can select pre-made templates or create their own template using CSS.

Blogs come with sidebar widgets like Archives, Calender, Blogroll, Tagcloud, RSS and Email Subscription Options. The other important feature i liked in this tool is the individual blog entries comes with features like comments, print, email and podcast. This is a nice feature which is missing in other blog platforms (In others these are available as add-ons).

On the flip side some of the features are not working properly like podcast is not opening, WYSIWYG editor is not working properly in Firefox, once it worked and once its not. If you look at the blogonize blog it looks like a joke, i guess its not. They have made a wonderful application but if they could take some time and document some of it features and update their blog properly to the outside world it would make lot of sense.

Looks like good one with Web 2.0 effects, but ppl hosted on Wordpress are not going to shift anywhere. :-)

Oh I just love Wordpress man. I used Blogger for about two months and Wordpress is a MILLION times better. None of these hosting services can really beat out the features and functionality of Wordpress.
